Shanghai, China – October 30, 2024 – Innopodium® has officially launched its Shanghai Experimental Base, marking a major milestone in the company’s commitment to advancing innovation in the agrochemical sector. The event brought together industry leaders, partners, and experts to celebrate the company’s strategic vision for developing next-generation pesticides and fostering international collaboration.
The ceremony began with remarks from Wu Yiwei, Executive Vice President of Sufarm Biochemical® and Director of Innopodium®, who welcomed guests and outlined the company’s mission to drive transformation in agricultural technology. “As China shifts from manufacturing to innovation, Innopodium®—a joint venture between Liming Holdings and Sufarm Biochemical®—is dedicated to building a collaborative platform that leverages the strengths of both parent companies,” said Wu.

Following the opening, Zhang Qing, Vice Chairman of Liming Holdings, and Yun Dong, Vice President of Sufarm Biochemical® Innovation Center and Head of R&D at Innopodium®, unveiled the new facility. The Shanghai Experimental Base is designed as a high-efficiency, state-of-the-art platform, integrating advanced biological testing, compound screening, product development, and technical positioning, all guided by international standards to enhance research quality and safety.

Guests toured the facility, led by Chen Liang, Director of Biological R&D, viewing cutting-edge laboratories, greenhouses, and insect-rearing rooms. The base is equipped to handle up to 600 experiments annually and aims to serve as a shared innovation platform for strategic partners.

During the event, Yun Dong introduced the multidisciplinary R&D team and emphasized the company’s commitment to comprehensive services, including market expansion, technology development, joint product promotion, and regulatory support. “Our platform brings together global experts dedicated to breakthrough innovation in pesticide development,” said Yun.
